Phil makes his first deal

Phil Receives: 1st round (6th overall) and HB S.Jackson

U.Gators Receive: 1st round (3rd overall)

Phil improved his keepers while only moving back three spots in the draft. He will now most likely keep HB McCoy, HB S.Jackson and HB Best not a bad trio to go into the draft with. Phil also has all of his draft picks which will hopefully allow him to take this annually 7-7 team to the playoffs. All he has to focus on now is getting good receiver, quarterback and tight end play around his stable of runningbacks and he'll be a strong contender.

As for the U.Gators they could have either moved SJAX to another team like the Copperheads for a 3rd rounder or use him as they did in this trade to just move up a few spots. It's a win-win as the U.Gators did not have room to keep SJAX and at the 6th overall slot they would not have been in position to nab him in the draft.
