#10 Copperheads

Take a good look cause next year I don't see the Copperheads being anywhere close to this low in the rankings they have 2012 on lock down. They'll go in to 2012 with three good keepers owning (4) 1st round picks, (4) 2nd round picks, and (3) 3rd round picks. They'll most likely end up sending a pick or two to a team with extra stud keepers (U.Gators) and have a superstar to build around. A definite favorite to compete for GFFL BOWL VIII next year. This year however I think they can be semi competitive and maybe sneak into the playoffs but I think Gore has one elite season left tops and if I owned this team and could get a 1st + in a deal for him I'd definitely pull the trigger. Greene is a good breakout canidate and Welker is a low end WR1 but other than that there's a lot of question marks(Collie concussions? Grant off of injury?). The good news is the Western Division isn't as strong as past years with the Weiner Dogz looking like a fall off canidate, the Kings receivers being iffy and Turner being on his last leg for the C.Falcons. If he really wanted to make a run to the playoffs this year it could be done but I would keep my sites set on 2012 when the Copperheads could become a league powerhouse. If Gore does have one more elite season though this is a line up that could punch a playoff ticket in 2011. Bottom line is good years are ahead for the Copperheads.

#11 Purple Cobras

As I've stated earlier this year is an extremely tough year to rank teams and I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see the Purple Cobras make it to the playoffs but as of right now I see them ranked 11th. I don't trust Lloyd to repeat his performance in John Fox's offense which gives them a pair of wide receiver 2's but what kills this team is the lack of depth at runningback. The current runningback 2 behind Mendenhall is Green-Ellis with the runningback 3 being Danny Woodhead. That weakness at the games most important position is what will hold this team back. Lucky for the Cobras they play in the Central which means playoff dreams are a lot closer to reality than a team like the Pirates stuck in the strong East.

#12 East Carolina Pirates

It wasn't that tough of a decision. The Pirates (better than they were last year) lack a true proven difference making stud (although I love Dez Bryant and see a lot of Randy Moss in him) but even if Dez does break out the rest of the team will make this a cellar dweller. I do think Vogler is doing a good job rebuilding this team though going into 2012 both Dez and Maclin will probably be looked at as WR1's and then keeping Romo to solidify the quarterback position if he has a good draft (which should feature a top 3 pick in the draft) he will be ready to get the Pirates on the verge of playoff contention.

2011 could be a good year but he plays in the highly competitive eastern division and his runningbacks are a pair of HB3's and his flex position is terrible. I do believe that he is one runningback stud away from being a serious playoff spot contender so if he finds the Peyton Hillis of 2011 on the waiver wire then all bets are off. Realistically expect Vogler to make his rise in 2012.

Sick Draft Day

A heck of a draft this year accompanied by some trades highlighted by the Kings acquisition of Gates. 2011 is shaping up to be a heck of a fantasy season for the GFFL.

Copperheads Continue To Build for 2012

The Copperheads are in great position to be a playoff team this year but in 2012 they should be in position to be a complete powerhouse. They already own three firsts in 2012 and now three seconds in 2012.
