I always knew this day would come I just didn't think it would come so soon. One of the all time greatest NFL players and my favorite player has retired from the NFL. Moss dominated since his rookie season in 1998 bursting on to the scene with 17 touchdowns (a rookie record) and helped the Vikings to a 15-1 season and at the time the highest scoring team of all time.
He continued to dominate as a Viking until 2004 when Red McCombs traded him to the Oakland Raiders.
He had some down years in Oakland and most thought he was done but then he was dealt to the New England Patriots in 2007 for a fourth round pick. Paired with Brady he set the record for receiving touchdowns (23) and helped the Patriots to an 18-0 record before losing in Super Bowl XLII.
Moss enjoyed a few more very productive years in New England until this past year 2010 where he was traded back home to the Vikings and finally got to play with Brett Favre. The homecoming was pretty sick.
Childress decided to release Moss and he ended up finishing with the Titans going out quietly.
I'm not ready to say good bye to Moss and I don't know if I'll ever be but he was the greatest player I've ever seen and maybe will ever see. 84Forever
