Peyton Manning Done?

We all know the news on Peyton. He is definitely missing week 1 and there's speculation that he could miss a month, possibly the year. So how does this effect the GFFL? Well Mike Gibson has had Peyton Manning on his team ever since the franchise was known as the Rockets. Peyton is his bread and butter, heck the Colts as a whole are. He currently owns Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, and Dallas Clark. If Peyton misses time both Wayne and Clark are downgraded, which would then give the Panther's an irreplaceable hole at QB, a hole at receiver, and they would no longer have an elite tight end. No Peyton basically means the playoffs for the Panthers are far from a sure thing and for the borderline teams (Purple Cobras, Demon Deacons, Weiner Dogz) an increased chance to get into the big 6.

Here's the Panthers team without Peyton..

QB McNabb
HB Bradshaw
HB Starks
HB/WR F.Jackson
WR Nicks
WR Wayne (a low end WR2 version)
TE Clark (a TE2)

That puts them right with the borderline teams if not lower. It's not impossible to make the playoffs without Peyton but it's gonna be a hard road. The Classics made the playoffs in 2008 when they lost franchise QB Tom Brady for the year so it can be done, but the Classics also didn't play in a division with the top two teams of the year (U.Gators,Rayz). Hopefully Peyton doesn't miss the season but it's not looking good. We're going to see how good of an owner Mike Gibson is this year.
