WEEK 9 MATCH UPS

The top 4 teams are all playing against each other this week in possible GFFL Bowl Match ups C.Falcons (6-2) VS Gators (6-2); Rayz (7-1) VS Kings (6-2). While the Classics and Purple Cobras face off in a huge divisional match up which if the Cobras were to win they would own the tie breaker over the Classics for the Central Division title; the Panthers (3-5) play a must win against the Weiner Dogz to make sure they stay in the wildcard hunt with a rougher schedule coming up; the Deacons and Ducks also play a huge game with the winner being able to get back into the thick of the playoff hunt. The Pirates hope to stay in the lead for the sixth seed with a match up against a team (Copperheads) that many GFFL analysis had them at the bottom with.

So how is it all going to shake out and how could the playoff picture look afterwards?

Gators (6-2) OVER C.Falcons (6-2) - This will be a close one with the C.Falcons only having an advantage at runningback but it's a big one. I'll take with a slight hint of bias my own team in a close game.

Kings (6-2) OVER Rayz (7-1) - It sucks the Kings won't have McFadden in a heck of a match up against Denver in this one but this will be another extremely close game. Eli Manning plays the terrible NE secondary which for one week will allow him to look like Rodgers. I barely take Kings in a game that could be decided by a point.

Classics (5-3) OVER P.Cobras (4-4) - Yet another close match up as the Classics aren't as good as they look on paper thanks to CJnok. The Purple Cobras are very beat up though and they need Hillis to play more than anything I think the Classics pull it out by 10 or so.

Panthers (3-5) OVER W.Dogz (2-6) - The Panthers should have no problem demolishing the Weiner Dogz to keep their playoff hopes alive while all but turning the lights off for the Dogz' season.

Deacons (2-6) OVER Ducks (2-6) - No Newton + No Peterson = No win. The Deacons will get a much needed playoff boost while it won't be over at least not yet for the Ducks.

Copperheads (1-7) OVER Pirates (4-4) - The Pirates are going to eventually come back down to reality what better game than this to do so. While the Pirates have a phenomenal foundation for the future they aren't a playoff team this year pure and simple.

Someone is going to get in with a losing record. Even if you're a 2-7 team being 2 out with 5 to play is not a very daunting task a trade here or there before at the deadline could punch you in. You've gotta decide if it's worth some future picks for a little instant success. If you think if your team got in you'd truly have a shot at rolling off 3 wins in a row and claiming a title then it definitely is.
